About Lipson Robotics

David Lipson assembles one-of-a-kind robot sculptures from found objects, which are located in
various places such as antique shops, construction sites, garbage dumps, flea markets, and hardware stores. David’s preferred materials are stainless steel, metal, glass, and Bakelite, which he drills, cuts, sands, and sometimes hammers when preparing the components for assemblage. Assembly is achieved with nuts and bolts.

Previously, David spent 16 years as a producer of animation for film and television whose
credits include The Venture Bros (Cartoon Network), School House Rock (Disney),
"TV Funhouse" on Saturday Night Live (NBC), The Howard Stern Show (CBS),
Lizzie McGuire (Disney), and Word World (PBS).

David studied oil painting at the Art Students League, and the National Academy of Design
and Fine Arts in New York City. He went to college at the Berklee School of Music
in Boston.
